This webinar will review the epidemiology, evaluation, and treatment of opioid addicted patients from a primary care perspective. 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the diagnostic criteria and the behavioral-neurological adaptation process associated with opioid addiction.
  • Discuss the socio-economic and health impacts of the opioid epidemic.
  • Identify the three major treatment paradigms for opioid addiction.

Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for every physician in the state of Massachusetts who holds an active license to practice medicine.
