Biography

Eric M. Weil, MD graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School and completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. For the past eleven years, he has been a general internist at the Massachusetts General Hospital Revere HealthCare Center. During this time, Dr. Weil has served as Unit Chief for the medicine practice and has chaired the city's board of health. He has been involved in a multitude of educational, primary care and community based initiatives on local, hospital, statewide and national levels.

At present, Dr. Weil is the Associate Chief for Clinical Affairs for the General Medicine Unit as well as an Associate Medical Director for the Massachusetts General Physician's Organization. He is also the medical director for the MassGeneral Care Management Program, a Medicare Demonstration Project that seeks to optimize the care delivered to sick and high risk Medicare patients through new and innovative approaches.
